Fire Damages Home In Antwerp

Investigators were working to pinpoint the cause of a fire which damaged a home in the village of Antwerp Thursday.

A passerby spotted smoke coming from 719 Main Street shortly before 11 a.m. and called authorities.

Firefighters from seven departments were called to the scene and found fire in the walls of the home.

Volunteers from Antwerp, Philadelphia, Oxbow, Theresa, Evans Mills, Fort Drum and Great Bend responded.

No one had been at home when the fire broke out.

There's no word on what caused the blaze.
