Fire Damages Home In Lyons Falls

A Lyons Falls home received heavy damage in an early Wednesday morning fire.

Lewis County fire officials say the cause of the fire at the Markingham Street home of Michael and Cassandra Klossner is still being investigated.

Cassandra Klossner and the couple's four children escaped safely. Michael Klossner was not at home.

No one was injured, except Cassandra Klossner suffered frostbite on her feet.

Officials say the family was getting up when they noticed a fire near a couch in the living room shortly before 6 a.m.

Fire officials report heavy damage inside the home and say the contents may have been a total loss.
