Firefighters Flock To Depauville For Training

Tools

It's important to have properly trained firefighters.

To get that training, firefighters from around Jefferson County were at the Depauville Fire Department Sunday.

Organizers say the event featured seven different speakers to make things more interesting.

Depauville Fire Chief Larry Girard says it's a chance to "give the people an opportunity to have a variety of outlooks for the various topics that we discuss."

An annual eight-hour training session is mandatory for all firefighters in New York state.
