Flags At JCC Honor Fallen Soldiers

Members of the the Veterans Club at Jefferson Community College are doing their part to honor fallen soldiers.

The club is placing more than 300 flags at JCC to pay its respects to Fort Drum soldiers and soldiers from Jefferson County who died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"It's a great time to bring the community's attention to what these people have sacrificed for their country," said Dwight Doane, coordinator of JCC's VISTA Veterans Services.

If you're interested in checking out the display, the flags will be flown through Memorial Day.
