Flower Library Offers Amnesty For Overdue Books

Do you have an overdue library book?

Not only is it collecting dust, it's also running up late fees.

But, you're in luck.

Watertown's Flower Memorial Library is wiping the slate clean if you bring back your overdue books.

The amnesty program is in honor of National Library Week.

"It's a lot cheaper for us to waive fees at certain points during the year than it is for us to actually purchase the materials that are long overdue," said Amanda Tehonica, teen librarian.

The amnesty program has been going on since April 7.

It ends this Saturday.
