Former Fort Drum Soldier Wounded In Fort Hood Shooting
A former Fort Drum soldier was reportedly wounded in Wednesday's shooting at Fort Hood, Texas.
WIVB-TV in Buffalo reports that Major Patrick Miller was one of 16 injured.
Miller, a western New York native, reportedly underwent surgery Wednesday night.
His condition was not immediately known.
According to Miller's LinkedIn profile, he worked in Army finances at Fort Drum from October 2011 to August 2013.
He reportedly played on Watertown's Red & Black semi-professional football team.
Miller attended Syracuse University and St. Bonaventure University, according to his LinkedIn profile.
According to the Associated Press, a soldier opened fire Wednesday on fellow service members at the Fort Hood military base, killing three people and wounding 16 before committing suicide.
