Former Potsdam Town Court Clerk Set To Be Arraigned

A former Potsdam Town Court Clerk who allegedly stole thousands of dollars in fines and other penalties is expected to be arraigned in Canton court Wednesday morning.

Mary Jo Guyette had been court clerk since 2005 but was suspended and later fired from her $33,000 a year job after discrepancies were discovered and "thousands of dollars" in court funds were discovered missing in a state Comptrollers audit.

Canton court officials say Guyette is due to be arraigned at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday morning.
