Fort Drum's 2nd BCT Gets New Leader

Tools

With the new year comes some new leadership for the 2nd Brigade Combat Team of the 10th Mountain Division.

Colonel Dennis Sullivan is leaving Fort Drum after nearly 13 years on post, the last two of them as the head of the combat team.

Taking his place is Colonel David Doyle.

Doyle is just returning from Afghanistan, where he saw many of the accomplishments of the 2nd BCT.

He's anxious to to add to the list.

"I think we need to capitalize on some the things that they've done exceptionally well and look forward to how we can apply this to some of the new leaders like myself who are coming in," said Doyle.

Colonel Sullivan will be heading to the Naval War College in Rhode Island, but not before saying goodbye to a long list of people he dealt with during his tenure on post.
