Freezing Rain to Hit Saint Lawrence Valley Early Monday
Starting at 10 pm Sunday, areas in the Saint Lawrence Valley could experience steady freezing rain. The precipitation is known for caking on trees, power lines, and roads as ice. It makes travel difficult as the ice makes roads slippery.
7News Meteorologist Joseph LaPlante is predicting the freezing rain to start 10 pm Sunday and last until 4 am Monday morning. He predicts up to a quarter inch of freezing rain to fall.
The Saint Lawrence Valley reaches from Massena southward to Gouverneur.
