Funds In Memory Of Local Businessman Set Up At NNY Foundation

Funds to help area students go to college and to aid community projects have been set up in memory of a Carthage businessman who died earlier this year.

Friends and family of Timothy Wright have established two separate funds with the Northern New York Community Foundation.

Wright owned two Carthage businesses, T.F. Wright & Sons Granite Foundry and Carthage Fibre Drum. He died at the age of 56 from injuries suffered in a snowmobile accident in February.

The Timothy F. Wright Memorial Scholarship Fund will provide annual college scholarships to graduating seniors at Carthage and Copenhagen central schools.

The Timothy F. Wright Community Fund will provide grants to support various community endeavors.

Anyone wishing to donate to either fund can contact the Northern New York Community Foundation at 315-782-7110.
