It was the second year in a row Pat St. Louis helped organize the garden tractor pulls at the Copenhagen Fire Hall, but Saturday was the first year he decided to get in on the fun.
St. Louis is one of about 50 people who joined the competition Saturday to help raise money for the Copenhagen Volunteer Fire Department.
The goal for drivers was simple: see who can pull a 7000 pound sled furthest down a dirt path behind the fire hall. And St. Louis summed it up simply: "Just going out there pulling that throttle, going for it and just making a whole lot of noise."
Last year the competition raised about 900 dollars. St. Louis and the rest of the fire department are hoping to eclipse that figure this year by making even more noise.
