General Brown Gets $200K For Buses

A big state grant aims to take some pressure off the General Brown Central School District after a fire destroyed most of its buses.

The $200,000 grant will help pay for new buses or help repair the garage that was badly damaged in the April fire.

Superintendent Stephan Vigliotti says the board of education will decide how to spend the grant.

"The estimated cost of loss to the district is about $1 million so this helps to make up that million dollars," said Vigliotti.

General Brown is currently leasing buses to get it through the end of this school year.
