Gouverneur Police Seek Help In Hit And Run

Tools

Gouverneur police are seeking the public's help, after an apparent hit and run accident in the village Saturday night.

Police said a 46 year old man was found lying on the side of the road on Johnstown Street, near Mills Park, shortly before 9 pm Saturday. The man was conscious, but had suffered facial injuries and had a sore right leg and hip.

Police said evidence from the scene suggests he was struck by a vehicle going west, maybe a Chevrolet Impala, which may have damage to the passenger side headlight and side mirror.

Anyone with information is asked to call Gouverneur police at 287-2121.
