Update: Lewis Man Held On $100,000 Bail

A Lewis County man pleaded not guilty Friday morning to killing his son.

Lyle Davoy Sr. was ordered held on $100,000 bail, which is the bail requested by the district attorney's office. Davoy is represented by lawyer Gary Miles. The next court proceedings are set for August.

Earlier this week, a Lewis County grand jury indicted the 56 year old town of Watson man in the shooting death of his son.

Davoy was indicted on charges of second-degree murder, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree criminal use of a firearm.

Davoy is accused of shooting his son with a 20-gauge shotgun during an argument on May 13 at a Stillwater Road residence in the town of Watson.

His 29 year old son Lyle Davoy Jr. died at the scene.
