Grandparents Help Beautify Philadelphia Primary

There were some hard-working grade schoolers at Philadelphia Primary School Thursday.

The assignment was phase two of an outdoor beautification project.

A year ago, the kids and their grandparents planted two trees on school grounds. This year, the annual Grandparents Day activities included adding the soil, pavers and flowers.

"This year, we took money, we partnered with PTO and they did a bake sale before our spring concert and that money bought the flowers," said second grade teacher Kristen Jetty.

Will there be a phase 3? The answer is "yes," but the kids, teachers and grandparents haven't yet decided what it will be.
