Greek Yogurt In Schools Could Help Local Farmers
New York state's participation in a pilot program to serve Greek yogurt in school lunches will help local farmers.
That's according to Jefferson County agricultural coordinator Jay Matteson.
Even though no local plants produce Greek yogurt, Matteson says the increased demand for milk elsewhere will result in an increased demand locally.
