Hammond Man Killed In Georgia Plane Crash

A Hammond man was killed in a plane crash in Georgia.

He's identified as  70 year old Brian Soper.

Officials said he died Tuesday in Taylorsville, Georgia, while piloting a single-engine plane.

Soper reportedly left upstate New York Tuesday morning and was flying to Eufala, Alabama, when his plane crashed in a field.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the crash.
