Harrisville Health Clinic Reopens

The Harrisville Family Health Center is back and, with it, physician assistant Brittani Bickel.

"It's wonderful that it's opened back up," she said.

Carthage Area Hospital relinquished control of the clinic last summer and Lewis County General Hospital took over.

Bickel was rehired.

She says community members are excited to have healthcare close to home again.

"It is going fantastic.  We've had a great response so far. We've been booked all morning long and hoping to be booked.  Already the afternoon patients are arriving and it's looking like a great day," she said.

Walk-ins are welcome at the clinic, but appointments are recommended.

"All ages, all different kinds of people and we're taking new patients and can't wait to see everyone back again," said Bickel.

The clinic will be open Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

To make an appointment, call 537-5003 or drop by the office on Church Street in Harrisville.
