'Heart' Fans Flock To DPAO Show

It was a big night for the Disabled Persons Action Organization.

"We serve over 500 children and adults in two counties who have developmental disabilities and that's why we're doing what we're doing," the DPAO's Joe Rich said. "It all goes to help them."

It was also a big night Wednesday for fans who lined up two hours before the show began at the Watertown Fairgrounds Arena.

"I am a Heart fanatic," Christina DiManno said. "My dad brought me up on Heart. I grew up listening to Heart for as long as I can remember."

"You know the music is real when you get cold chills when you hear it," Hollie Hines said.

"I'm just really excited to finally see them in concert," said Heidi Bock. "I loved them my whole life. I grew up listening to classic rock. I'm really excited to see them."

As for favorite songs, Heart fans know the play list.

"'Black Dog' is my favorite song that they sing," Joseph Cook said.

"'Barracuda,' first of all, and 'Crazy On You' are two of my two favorites," Bock said.

"'Alone,' 'Bebe le Strange,' there's so many. I could go on and on," DiManno said. "That's the thing -- they could play for days straight, and you still wouldn't hear all their songs."

This isn't the last of the DPAO's concert series -- which also featured comedian Jeff Dunham. The next is Brantley Gilbert on August 22. It's an outdoor show.
