Winter Weather Advisory In Jefferson, Lewis & St. LawrenceThe National Weather Service has replaced an ice storm warning with a winter weather advisory in Jefferson and Lewis counties through 4 p.m. Friday. Jefferson and Lewis are expected to get an inch or less of snow Thursday night, but on Friday, the counties could see 4 to 8 inches with additional heavy snow possible Friday night through Saturday over the Tug Hill plateau. In St. Lawrence County, there's a similar advisory in effect from 7 a.m. Friday to midnight. So far, National Grid is reporting scattered power outages in both Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties. There were nearly 300 customers without electricity between Philadelphia and Theresa at 4 p.m. Nearly 200 people lost power between Ogdensburg and Canton. Electricity was restored to mostly everyone by the early evening. |
