"Fifty Shades of Grey" is a book which is notorious for its sexually explicit content.
At the St. Lawrence County Jail, a paperback copy contained a little something extra.
Officials said an inmate, 29 year old Jason Carter, was in possession of suboxone strips, which were hidden inside the book "Fifty Shades of Grey."
Suboxone is a narcotic used to treat opiate addiction.
Strips are dissolved under the tongue.
Carter was charged with a felony count of first-degree promoting prison contraband and a misdemeanor count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He remains in the jail pending further court action.
