JCC Breaks Ground For Residence Hall

Jefferson Community College in Watertown officially broke ground Thursday for a long-awaited residence hall.

Officials lined up, shovels in hand, for the groundbreaking ceremony.

The residence hall will go in the heart of campus, where some trees have been cleared for construction.

"It's a big milestone. It really represents so much work to get to this day so we're just so excited," said JCC President Carole McCoy.

The residence hall, complete with 288 beds, will open for students in the fall of 2014.
