JCC's Black River Review Showcases Writers, ArtistsIt's a showcase of some of the most talented writers and artists in the north country. Jefferson Community College's annual Black River Review is out. The Review is a journal of poetry, prose and fine arts created by students, faculty, staff and friends of JCC. The editor, Michael Avery, says it is quite an achievement to have one's work published in the Review. "They put effort into their writing and their art and to have it recognized publicly and actually published, I mean, this is something they can put on their resume." Officials say they received more than 100 submissions, but only 20 artists and 15 writers made the cut. |
