Just How Cold Did It Get?

The north country awoke to the coldest weather of the season Wednesday.

Temperatures were well below zero everywhere. 

But while the cold may have taken your breath away when you stepped outside, it was breathtaking along the Black River.

The picture above was taken just outside Glen Park Wednesday morning.

Observed temperatures across the region included lows of:

- 23 in Saranac Lake
- 15 at Fort Drum
- 12 in Massena
- 8 in Watertown
