Lewis County Crash Kills One Man, Injures Another

An accident in Lewis County Sunday night claimed the life of one man and left another injured.

State police say 23 year old Tyler Lyndaker of Croghan was driving on South Creek Road in the town of Diana shortly before 9 p.m. when his vehicle went off the road and struck a tree.

Troopers say Lyndaker was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. His passenger, 31 year old Jacob Campeau of Castorland, was airlifted to Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.

Hospital officials say he has been discharged.

Police say they are still looking into what caused the accident.
