Lewis County Man Faces Charges Following Traffic StopA Copenhagen man faces several charges following a routine traffic stop. Lewis County Sheriff deputies say 21 year old Mark Davis was pulled over in the village of Copenhagen because his muffler was too loud and his license plate was obstructed. Deputies say they discovered Davis's license was suspended and he had one hydrocodone pill in his pocket. He was charged with having an inadequate exhaust system, having an obstructed license plate, third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and not having a controlled substance in its original container. He was sent to Lewis County Jail on $500 bail following his arraignment in Denmark town court. |
