Lewis County Teens Arrested On Burglary Charges

Two Lewis County teenagers face felony burglary charges for allegedly breaking into a shed and stealing a chainsaw.

State police arrested 18 year olds Bradley Rogers of Lyons Falls and James Rice of Port Leyden on one count each of third-degree burglary.

The charges stem from a burglary that occurred at 7456 Penny Settlement Road in the town of Lyonsdale.

Police said the pair forcibly entered a locked shed at that property and stole a chainsaw from within.

Rogers and Rice were arraigned in Lowville Village Court and were remanded to the Lewis County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 and $250 cash bail, respectively.

Additional charges are possible as police continue to investigate several other burglaries which were reported in the same area.
