Lewis County's Incoming Manager Meets Staff

A new face is becoming more familiar at the Lewis County Courthouse.

Liz Swearingin, the incoming county manager, has spent several days this week meeting and greeting county staff.

The Brantingham woman is expected to be formally appointed on Tuesday as the replacement for David Pendergast, who retired in April.

Swearingin has an extensive business background and says she's excited about putting her experience to work for Lewis County.

"I get a sense that everybody's very optimistic, very encouraged to work together to tackle common problems that we're facing. So, I think it's going to be a good start," said Swearingin.

Swearingin is scheduled to start work on March 31.
