Library Volunteers Overwhelmed By Book Donations

Volunteers at Watertown's Flower Memorial Library are saying - thanks, but no thanks.

The community has responded with an abundance of donated books, which means volunteers have more than enough for this year's annual used book sale.

More than 1,000 books have been donated.

"We want to be able to be sure to get through what people have already given us, so we're saying to the public, 'We really appreciate what you've done for us, but would you please wait until early November now to start bringing more books in," said volunteer Ed Ringwald.

The annual book sale will be held later this month.

In the meantime, volunteers will continue sorting and cataloging all the books that have already been donated.
