The company that owns New York Air Brake announced last week it will start closing its plant in Kingston, Ontario this fall.
 
Almost 60 hourly and salaried workers will be cut.  
 
The company is planning to move production to its Watertown facility, where it could add as many as 50 jobs.
 
The WorkPlace in Watertown was to begin accepting job applications Monday. 
 
"Individuals will need to have a GED or high school diploma," said the WorkPlace's Cheryl Mayforth.
 
"They're looking for people with one year experience in production-type jobs," she said.
 
The WorkPlace is accepting applications from until March 15. It's located at 1000 Coffeen Street in Watertown and is open 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
