A magazine devoted to military educators has named Clarkson University a top military-friendly school.

Military Advanced Education (MAE) selected Clarkson in its 2014 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities.

Clarkson University provides full tuition benefits to qualifying post-9/11 active-duty service members, veterans and eligible dependents of military personnel under the federal government’s Yellow Ribbon Program.

With a long history of military preparation on its campus, Clarkson's Army and Air Force ROTC units are consistently recognized in Washington Monthly magazine's annual college guide as having the second highest concentration of ROTC military service in the nation.

Students in these programs are the recipients of numerous awards and recognition for their scholastic work as well as success in field training.

Published since 2005, MAE serves armed services education service officers, transition officers, and other top-level commands who work with service members, veterans, and their families during active duty, transition, and post-transition to optimize their armed forces educational benefits.

The guide presents results of a questionnaire of the military-friendly policies enacted at nearly 500 institutions including private, public, for-profit, not-for-profit, four-year, and two-year colleges.
