Man Accused Of Restraining and Molesting Child


A 71 year old man is accused of restraining and having unwanted sexual contact with a child.

The Potsdam Village Police Department charged James Pleau (no address available) with forcible touching and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.

Police said the charges stem from an investigation which began on March 24.

According to police, Pleau restrained a 13 year old victim and made unwanted sexual contact with victim.

Pleau was arraigned in Potsdam Village Court and released under the supervision of probation.
