A Utica man faces charges after allegedly trying to kiss and bite people on a Potsdam street.

Village police arrested 23 year old Joseph Czeck.

Officials said Czeck was walking back and forth in the middle of Maple Street Sunday afternoon, grabbing people, and trying to kiss and bite them.

Police said Czeck was under the influence of alcohol and had to be taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for treatment.

He was issued tickets for:

- disorderly conduct violent behavior
- disorderly conduct obscene language/gesture
- unlawful possession of marijuana

Police don't believe he's a student at the colleges in Potsdam.
