Man Arrested for Allegedly Having Stolen Credit Cards, Checks

In Lewis county, one man has been arrested for allegedly trying to pass a stolen check at the Walmart in Lowville last month.

21-year-old Mark Davis of the town of Pinckney was arrested late Friday night, after Lewis County Sheriff's deputies say he was found to be in possession of four stolen credit cards, three stolen checks, and various bank statements that didn't belong to him.

Davis has been charged with four felony counts and three misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of stolen merchandise, as well as one count of attempted identity theft.

He's being held in the Lewis County Jail on $1,250 cash bail or $2,500 bond.
