A Port Leyden man was arrested after an alleged fit of road rage over the weekend. The rage wasn't directed at another driver, but at his own car.
Lewis County Sheriff's deputies say 19 year old Timothy Bakker allegedly punched and kicked his 1999 Hyundai when it quit working near the Whitaker Road on State Route 12 in the town of Martinsburg.
Deputies say he broke all the car's windows and damaged several body panels.
Bakker was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was arraigned in Lowville village court and sent to jail on $750 bail.
