Man Charged After Running From Domestic Dispute Scene

A Webster, NY man was arrested when he ran from the scene of a domestic dispute during which he allegedly choked his girlfriend.

Jefferson County sheriff's deputies say 50 year old Jeffrey Terry allegedly struck, pushed and choked the woman at a home on Cottage Hill Road in the town of Theresa.
 
Deputies say Terry ran off and they had to track him through nearby woods for about a mile before placing him under arrest.
 
He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, second degree harassment and resisting arrest.
 
He was arraigned in Theresa town court and sent to jail on $5,000 bail.
