Man Charged With Drug Possession Following Traffic StopA North Carolina man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop on State Route 812 in the town of Dekalb Wednesday night. St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies say 21 year old Kenneth Smith of Lumberton, North Carolina, had a 10 mg Kadian pill - a prescription painkiller -- and a small quantity of crack cocaine when he was pulled over.
He was charged with third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He was arraigned in Fowler town court and sent to county jail on $5,000 bail.
