Man Charged With Rape For Allegedly Having Sex With 12 Year OldA Gouverneur man faces several rape charges for allegedly having sex with a 12 year old girl. Gouverneur village police say 19 year old Eric Wood-Delgado allegedly engaged in sexual acts with a 12 year old girl several times between November 21 and 29. Police say Wood-Delgado also used his cell phone to send messages and sexually explicit images to the girl's cell phone to entice her to have sex with him.
Police made the arrest after the 12 year old's mother filed a report. Wood-Delgado was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with three counts of first degree rape, five counts of first degree committing a criminal sexual act, first degree disseminating indecent material to minors, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Wood-Delgado was arraigned in Gouverneur town court and committed to St. Lawrence County jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. |
