A Rensselaer Falls man is dead following an accident at a Gouverneur-area quarry.

State police say 54 year old Glenn Dibble died when he fell about 10 feet off a pile of pallets in a storage building at Gardenscape Quarry on Seavey Road in Gouverneur.

Troopers say he was trying to reach planks in the building's rafters.

It happened Monday, troopers say, but no one witnessed the accident. His body was found the next morning, when workers reported for their shifts.

Troopers say there are no signs of foul play and St. Lawrence County Coroner Kevin Crosby ruled the death accidental.

Dibble's obituary says he worked for Gardenscape as a truck driver.

Gardenscape purchased the limestone and marble quarry in 2010, according to its website. It markets its products to professional landscapers.
