Man Injured After Falling Asleep At Wheel

A Clayton man suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident Monday afternoon. 

The driver, 62 year old William Salisbury, told Jefferson County sheriff's deputies he fell asleep at the wheel of his pickup truck while driving on County Route 13 in the town of Orleans.

The truck went off the road, down an embankment and struck several small trees.

Salisbury was taken to the hospital for treatment of neck pain.
