Man Pleads Guilty In Stolen Property Case

Tools

A town of Watertown man was supposed to go on trial Monday for possessing property stolen from area construction sites.

But, just as the trial was set to begin, 36 year old Aaron Netto took a plea bargain.

A state corrections employee, Netto pleaded guilty to four misdemeanor counts of possessing stolen property and one count of tampering with physical evidence.

He also entered an Alford plea to the charge of fifth-degree conspiracy.

An Alford plea allows a defendant to admit no guilt to a crime.

Netto will be sentenced November 22 in Jefferson County Court.
