Man Rescued After Falling On Rocky River Bank

A man was rescued near the Black River in Watertown Monday after falling on some rocks.

Officials said 20 year old Daniel Finley of Watertown was walking along the Black River when he tried to climb up a rock wall, lost his footing and fell.

Finley was walking with 29 year old Chris Church of Watertown. Earlier, we incorrectly identified Church as the man who was injured. 

Firefighters first repelled down the steep bank to make sure he wasn't too badly hurt, then sent a rescue boat for him. 

Finley dislocated his shoulder during the fall, officials said.
