Update: Amber Alert Cancelled For Man Sought In Connection With Murder, Adbuction

Police say the New Jersey man wanted for questioning in the murder of his ex-wife has apparently committed suicide in an upstate New York motel and his two young daughters are safe.

Following is our earlier story:

An Amber Alert has been issued in connection with an alleged murder and possible child abduction in New Jersey.

Local police agencies are being asked to keep an eye out for the vehicle the suspect may be driving, a red 2011 Nissan Rogue with a New Jersey license plate number C59BPB.

The driver has been identified as Anthony Trapp. Police in New Jersey say he's wanted for questioning in connection with the death of his ex-wife, Heather Trapp, who was found dead in his home.

Police say the couple's two children, 5 year old Emma and 1 year old Sophia, may have been abducted by their father.

If you see the vehicle or any of these individuals you're asked to call the New York State Police.

New York State Police say they found Anthony Trapp dead on a bed in his room at the Bear Mountain Bridge Motel in Fort Montgomery about an hour after the girls came out of the room on their own around 7:30 a.m. Friday.

New York police wouldn't say how Trapp died, but New Jersey authorities say he apparently killed himself.

Trapp's ex-wife, Heather, was found dead in his Old Bridge Township home Thursday.

An Amber Alert issued for the couple's children, 20-month-old Sophia and 5-year-old Emma, was canceled when the girls were found safe.
