The public library in Massena will reopen Thursday with longtime director Paul Schaffer at the helm.
He has agreed to come out of retirement to serve as interim director.
The library closed temporarily after a mass resignation of all but one member of the library board and the resignation of library Director Lynn Fountain.
Town Supervisor Joseph Gray says work is underway to name new library trustees.
The library closed Monday.
