Massena Man Accused In Stabbing

A 23 year old Massena man is accused of using a screwdriver and a switchblade to stab another man outside a village bar.

Police arrested David Lawrence III of 14 Clark Street.

He was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Lawrence allegedly stabbed 45 year old Eugene Lamb of Palmer, Massachusetts, with a screwdriver and switchblade knife several times in the arm and back during an argument.

The incident occurred early Sunday morning outside the Rusty Wheel Bar on Willow Street.

Lamb was treated at Massena Memorial Hospital and released.

Lawrence remains jailed on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
