A 24 year old Massena man remains jailed on $10,000 bail after allegedly robbing a liquor store for drug money.

Massena Police say Brian LaPrade of 52 North Main Street was charged with third degree robbery and petit larceny after a Tuesday night robbery at Alkie's Liquor Store.

LaPrade allegedly entered the North Main Street store with a white t-shirt wrapped around his face and demanded money and a cell phone.

The female clerk handed him more than $50 dollars and a mobile phone.

LaPrade told police he used the money to buy the narcotic suboxone.

A preliminary hearing has been tentatively set for February 25.
