Mayor Says Massena 'Not Open For Business' For Drugs

Massena Mayor Jim Hidy says last week's drug sweep should send a strong message: drug dealers aren't welcome in the community.

It was called Operation Problem Child. On Friday, four people were arrested and are facing federal charges.
Last week's arrests were the second part of a sweep that resulted in nearly a dozen arrests earlier in September.
"They had to react fast and over the last month now we've come down hard on these people to let them know that Massena's not open for business in the drug trade," Hidy said.
More arrests are expected.  Operation Problem Child was a multi-agency drug crackdown, including federal, state and local police.
