Meet The New Owners Of The Watertown Wizards

The Watertown Wizards collegiate baseball team officially has new owners.

They are Joe Vaadi, Kristine Czajkowski and Todd Kirkey (pictured from left to right).

The trio purchased the team from Paul Simmons, who announced he was selling the team due to problems with the city's leadership.

Kirkey, who has been the Wizards general manager, will continue to work in that capacity.

Czajkowski has been the host family coordinator for the Wizards.

Vaadi was a longtime coach for the SUNY Potsdam women's basketball team and a Wizards fan.

Simmons said he has no stake in the Wizards team.

The new owners said they're looking forward to working out a lease agreement with the city.

The Wizards season begins in June.
