Metro Paper Cuts 10 Positions

MGN Online

Metro Paper has cut ten full-time temporary positions as it eliminates money-losing operations.

Carthage Community Development Director John McHugh confirmed the numbers, saying the Canadian company is focusing on "righting the ship."

McHugh says Metro Paper has made a commitment to stay in Carthage.

He also says if the cuts don't help the bottom line, the West End Avenue company may have to consider additional consolidation.

Metro Paper currently has 57 employees.
