Midtown Towers Temporarily Evacuated

A faulty generator forced the evacuation of residents on the first floor of Midtown Towers in Watertown late Friday afternoon.

The fire department said there was a buildup of carbon monoxide.

The evacuation was done as a precaution and no injuries were reported.

Approximately 20 residents who evacuated were permitted to return to their homes about an hour later.
